Chicken Salad - Traditional

In Canada and the United States, "chicken salad" refers to either any salad with chicken, or a specific mixed salad consisting primarily of chopped chicken meat and a binder, such as mayonnaise, salad dressing or cream cheese.

Ingredients

  • Chicken, Thighs - boneless (1 lb)
  • Celery Stalk (1 lb)
  • Scallions (1 lb)
  • Pepper, Black - ground (1 lb)
  • Salt, Kosher (1 lb)
  • Cream, Sour (1 lb)
  • Lemon Juice (1 lb)
  • Mayonnaise (1 lb)
  • Mustard, Dijon (1 lb)

Steps

  1. Salt and pepper chicken, and roast at 350'f until internal temp is 165'f.
  2. Chill and cut into a large dice.
  3. Mix with remaining ingredients.
  4. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.
